Roof Repair

We find where the water is getting in, show you photos of the problem, and repair it with matching materials.

Most roof repairs start with a stain on the ceiling, a drip in the attic after a heavy rain, or shingles in the yard after a windstorm. Common causes are lifted or missing shingles, cracked flashing around chimneys and vent pipes, worn pipe boots, and valleys where water collects. We fix everything from a minor leak to major storm damage. We get on the roof, find where the water is actually getting in, and show you photos of the problem before any work starts. Water often runs along the decking before it shows up inside, so the leak isn't always directly above the stain. Once we know the source, we tell you plainly what it will take to fix it. We use matching materials where they're available. We seal and flash the repaired area so it holds up through Cincinnati's freeze and thaw cycles. If the roof has more problems than a repair can solve, we'll say so and explain why. If the damage came from a storm, we can handle the insurance process with you. See storm damage restoration for how that works.

Common questions

Can you repair just part of my roof?

Yes, when the damage is limited to one area and the rest of the roof is in good shape. We match the existing materials where they're available. If a patch won't hold, we'll tell you before you spend money on it.

Why is my ceiling stained when the roof looks fine from the ground?

Small problems like a cracked pipe boot or lifted flashing are hard to see from the yard. Water can also travel along the decking before it drips through, so the stain may be some distance from the actual leak. That's why we trace it from the roof and the attic.

Is a small leak worth calling about?

Yes. A slow leak soaks the decking and insulation long before it shows on a ceiling, and wet wood softens over time. Fixing it early usually keeps the repair small.
