Old windows usually show their age. You feel drafts from across the room, fog gets trapped between the panes, sashes stick or won't stay up, and the wood at the sill goes soft or starts peeling. Plenty of homes in Westwood, Cheviot and Price Hill still have original wood windows or early vinyl units that have reached that point. We handle both window replacement, where we swap failing units in existing openings, and window installation for new openings, additions and remodels. We measure each opening and pull the old unit. Then we check the sill and framing for rot before anything new goes in. We set, level, insulate and flash each window so water runs out instead of in, and we finish the trim and caulk inside and out. Before work starts, we walk you through the options, including energy-efficient glass, and give you a clear price. We clean up as we go and do a final walkthrough with you once the last window is in.
